I’m michelle

I’m a 25-year-old artist, wife, and dog mom, living in Houston, TX. Ever since I was young, I’ve felt the most like myself when painting, drawing, or creating something with my own hands.

I started Michelle Designs by accident, while studying to become a teacher at Texas State University. I got hired at a brand-new coffee shop to be a barista and to help the manager basically build it from the ground, up. One day as we were painting the walls, I suggested that the black chalk wall would look great with a coffee plant drawing going up the side. My manager took a chance and let me give it a try. From there, I ended up becoming the coffee shop’s designated artist, all while working as a barista. I continued the coffee plant design across the entire menu wall, designed graphics and promotional materials, and even painted my first large-scale exterior mural for the shop.

After graduating, I tried out being a teacher for a few years, but I’ve ultimately decided that my truest passion is art. I now get to paint windows and murals for homes and businesses in Houston and across Texas. Next, I’d love to work with YOU!
